Rose-colored Lenses

Hey kiddies. I’m so tired and I’m sitting here watching my fourth episode of ‘The City’ on dvr so I’m a little brain dead to say the least. Alright so there are three things I wanted to share with you and I’ll try my hardest to keep this short because we all know I’m heavy handed. Also, to make it easier I’ll try to break this post up.

1) So what exactly is this popular television show where I work? Well friends if you can’t guess from the picture, its The View. I’ve only been there since the beginning of January and I work in production. Let me make one thing clear though, I am NOT a producer so don’t send me anything lol remember I’m only 22 y.o. I’m not too sure what to say about the whole thing, as i am still feeling things out. The staff is amazing and hilarious and it is definitely very interesting watching everyone interact. Monday’s show was really good actually, we had Meghan McCain (John McCain’s daughter) on the show and as a Democrat, I was more than a little skeptical. She actually was pretty amazing, because apparently many think that she has no right to make any political statements and I thought that she did a great job defending herself on our show. She even inspired me to follow her on twitter hahaha. So yea, a job’s a job (that I’m grateful for) and I don’t want to get all into my feelings but i will say that I never saw myself working in television…take that how you will lol.  Also, for the official blog of ‘The View’ click here.

2. On to one of my legit passions: sports. I filled out my bracket today and I wanted to share a little bit of it with you reaaaal quick. So for my upsets, I have Arizona upsetting Utah, USC upsetting BC, Texas A&M upsetting BYU, Utah State upsetting Marquette, MD beating Cal, Tenn beating Oklahoma State, Western Kentucky upsetting Illinois, Temple upsetting Arizona State, and finally Michigan beating Clemson. I have Louisville, Memphis, Carolina and Pitt in my final four and to be honest, it took me a very long time to decide who would win between Memphis and Louisville but i really think that if anyone can beat L-Ville, Memphis can. I’ve got Carolina taking the cake and OF COURSE I’m biased but i def believe in our talent. Let me know who’s in your final four and who’s your ultimate champion!

3. OK finally on to my current OBSESSION. I’ve finally listened to all of Drake’s mixtape, if you haven’t downloaded it ummm wtf? I swear to you I’m not tryna gas the boy but he really is very talented. Not only does he rap but he also has an amazing r&b quality voice. ‘So Far Gone’ has been compared to Kanye’s ‘808s and Heartbreak’ because of the beats and the fact that he sings on the album but I think this is soooo much better. Each song is so easy to identify with and you can listen to the entire tracklisting all the way through and never get bored. The lyrics are incredible, metaphors on point and to top it off, there are appearances by Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Bun-B, Lloyd, Santogold, etc. I mean what the hell could you possibly be waiting for? ITS FREE! Its a gift from Drake to you and me lol. Ok I’m done because clearly I’m enamored with the boy so here are my top 5 tracks (although all are equally on point). This list is in no particular order other than the preference my subconscious is ordering it…hahaha sorry that actually makes sense if you think about it.
